Veterans, active duty service members, and their dependents are invited to enter a special sub-competition as part of the NoVA Classic in honor of our friends at the John Lyon VFW Post 3150. The John Lyon Award will be subject to the same rules as the NoVA Classic which you can read here, as well as the rules below.

• This competition is open to anybody who served or is currently serving in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard, including the respective National Guards and Reserves or their dependents.

• The winner of the competition may be asked to provide proof of veteran or active duty status.

• When you enter beer(s) as a John Lyon entry, make sure you check the "John Lyon" check box.

• There is no limit for the number of John Lyon entries. John Lyon entries will be judged by fellow veterans and beer judges. 

• If you submit a beer as a John Lyon entry, you are NOT allowed to submit a beer as a non-John Lyon entry (general competition). If you do, the beer(s) entered in the general competition will be disqualified, the entry fee will not be returned but will be donated to the John Lyon VFW Post 3150 (like all the other money collected minus expenses).
